A voiceover is not a reading of the text. It is what gives the ad its character. Before generating any voice, there are three decisions.
1. Standard language or dialect?
Simple standard Arabic suits a broad audience and formal products. A dialect brings you closer to one city or country. Choose by who you are addressing, not by your own preference.
2. Tone and pace
Sale offers need a fast, energetic rhythm. Luxury products need calm and confidence. Too much speed makes the listener miss the price and the phone number.
3. A script written for the ear
- Short sentences
- One number, two at most
- The brand name at the start and the end
- Marked pronunciation for words that may be misread
A note on generated voices
AI tools sometimes mispronounce names and numbers. The fix is to listen to the whole read before publishing and adjust the spelling until it sounds right.
The takeaway
Define your audience first, then choose the voice that sounds like them.
